AKVIS Sketch is a handy application that lets you quickly and easily turn photos into impressive-looking pencil sketches and watercolor paintings. You can convert simple digital images into amazing artistic sketches without actually being a talented artist handling a pencil. It might sound like cheating, but it’s actually just the benefit provided by a really smart utility. Good taste is still required.
AKVIS Sketch impressed by being both effective and easy-to-use. The clear, neat, and intuitive interface allows even beginners to use this nice tool without any trouble. It comes with two working modes: Express and Advanced, which lets you enjoy easier and faster workflow, or a more thorough approach in which you may control every parameters and aspect of the photo-to-sketch conversion.
I also like about this powerful tool the fact that it can create two types of sketches: classic, default ones, and the more artistic ones, that may even look more closely like actual hand drawings.
Despite being easy-to-use, AKVIS Sketch is actually a powerful and comprehensive tool that offers a lot of options and additional features. It can also add background effects to the loaded images, swirl the background to add “time machine effects”, add signatures and greetings, and so on. Batch processing is also supported, therefore you may mass convert multiple images to sketches with the same settings, at the same time. Furthermore, this tool is offered as a standalone program and as a plugin to acknowledged photo editors too.
To sum it all up, AKVIS Sketch is not only one of my favorite graphic processing tools among the many ones developed by AKVIS, but also my favorite choice for transforming pictures into sketches and imitations of hand drawings in a quick and easy manner.
